In addition to his expertise as a strategic business advisor and CPA, Tom is an avid local and national speaker about ownership transitions and business valuations. He served five years on the Quality Review Committee of Certified Business Appraisers (CBA) – the most respected credential in the ownership transition business – for the Institute of Business Appraisers Inc.

His expertise is in high-level strategic planning. Over the past 26 years he has provided technical and financial solutions resulting in over 550 successful sales and purchases of businesses.

Tom first discovered how much he enjoyed working with business owners while working for Ernst & Young in the late 1970s. During his tenure for a Minnesota-based consulting firm, he expanded his knowledge about helping businesses grow. He started his own firm in 1982 and merged Jeff Stutzman's practice to create CEO Solutions six years later.

Tom has served as President, Vice President, Chair and committee member of various not for profit boards and professional organizations. He enjoys time with his family, adventure travel and the outdoors. He and Stutzman sold CEO Solutions in 2006 and Tom continues to serve clients as Vice President of the firm.
