"I started my business from scratch, so I understand risk. I put myself in the owners' shoes because I've been in their shoes."

In his teens, Jeff Stutzman knew he was going to own his own business. After getting his degree in accounting, he spent four-and-a-half years with Ernst & Young during which time he discovered how much he enjoyed problem-solving with clients. He went back to school for his MBA and then started his own company.

"I started CEO Solutions for the challenge and because I saw that I could make more of a difference working with owner-operated businesses. I think of myself as an entrepreneur and business problem solver. CPAs aren't considered creative, but I am. People don't come to me just for tax returns."

Jeff founded CEO Solutions in 1980 and grew it to a firm known for its attention to its clients. He enjoys working with owners to understand how their businesses work and to use his strong expertise in tax planning save them money.

When he's not working he can often be found outdoors, whether he's goose hunting or working on his farm in Montana. With his boundless creativity, he also helped to found a medical device company that sold to Medtronic and is involved with his church and environmental organizations. Whatever he's engaged in, Jeff's focus in on the people involved.

"I love getting together with my clients. What really matters at the end of the day is what matters to the client. I created this firm so that I could spend the time I wanted with clients, to get to know them and give them deeper and more complete solutions than an average CPA firm."
